This initiative not only addresses immediate hunger but also fosters a sense of community and caring, embodying the true spirit of Christmas.
The Medical Program provides comprehensive healthcare to children and parents in the slums of Kibera and Kawangware. We facilitate hospital visits, provide essential medications, and cover the costs of surgeries when needed. Our goal is to ensure that every family has access to quality medical care, improving their health and well-being through dedicated support and intervention.
The Heart to Heart Chess Program is designed to equip children with essential life skills through the strategic game of chess. By teaching them the rules and strategies of the game, we help develop their critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and concentration. This program not only fosters intellectual growth but also encourages patience, discipline, and sportsmanship. Through chess, children gain valuable skills that will benefit them both academically and personally, empowering them for a brighter future.
The Heart to Heart Brass Band from Kibera nurtures young musical talent by providing children with the opportunity to learn and play brass instruments. Through this program, participants receive professional instruction and engage in regular practice sessions, cultivating their musical abilities and fostering a sense of discipline and teamwork. The brass band not only enriches the cultural landscape of Kibera but also empowers children by giving them a platform to express themselves creatively and build their confidence.
