Education Without Limits
In line with our mission, we believe that education is the cornerstone of this transformation, and we are committed to providing the necessary support to ensure every child has the opportunity to succeed. In Nairobi’s slums, countless children face immense challenges that hinder their ability to access quality education. Financial constraints, lack of school supplies, and unsafe commuting options are just a few of the obstacles they encounter daily.
Our program addresses these issues head-on by covering school fees, providing books and essential supplies, supplying uniforms, and arranging safe and reliable transportation. Our comprehensive approach ensures that these children have everything they need to thrive academically.
Primary School
In 2017, Kenya introduced the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) to replace the content-based 8-4-4 curriculum, which had been in place since 1985. The government began phasing out the 8-4-4 system, with the last cohort expected to sit for their KCSE national examination in 2027. Under the new curriculum, we currently support 189 children in primary school, spanning Pre-primary, Lower Primary, and Upper Primary levels, which include pre-school and Grades 1 to 6.
The majority of these students are enrolled at Karama Academy in Kibera and Maranatha Academy in Kawangware, with a smaller number attending other schools across Nairobi.
Secondary Schools
Currently, we are supporting 187 high school students, ensuring they have the resources and opportunities they need to succeed academically and build a brighter future. High school is a critical period in a student’s educational journey, and it comes with its own set of challenges. Many of our students face significant financial barriers, lack of essential supplies, and the need for safe transportation. We strive to ensure that these students have all that they need to keep them in school.
As these children progress to high school, our support continues to evolve. We expand our efforts to cover higher tuition costs, advanced textbooks, and additional educational resources tailored to their academic needs. Beyond academics, we provide mentorship, career guidance, and life skills training to prepare them for adulthood and future employment opportunities.
The impact of this holistic support is profound. By ensuring continuity in their education from primary to high school, we empower these young individuals to break the cycle of poverty and achieve their dreams. They emerge as confident, educated individuals equipped with the knowledge and skills to contribute positively to their families and communities.
Post-Secondary Schools
